City of Port Arthur looks to extend Jimmy Johnson Boulevard
PORT ARTHUR, Texas — The city of Port Arthur is considering extending Jimmy Johnson Boulevard to FM 365 all the way FM 365. Back on June 25, city council members decided to table a vote on a contract with Soutex Surveyors and Engineers of Port Arthur to provide drawings and specifications for the extension of Jimmy Johnson Boulevard.
I-10 Closed In Beaumont, Texas Due To Significant Crack In Roadway
An ongoing investigation into a gaping crack has opened on the westbound stretch I-10 in Beaumont, Texas. City and state officials must feel this is a serious matter because they've mentioned that this portion of the interstate is already bad due to road construction. The portion closed is between Washington Boulevard and headed into Houston. It's unclear if the crack is growing or traveling, but here is what Beaumont PD had to say about the matter:

Sarah Street Wellness Center files lawsuit to block construction of detention basin in Beaumont's south end
BEAUMONT, Texas — A community health clinic in the south end of Beaumont is filing a lawsuit to block the construction of a detention basin near the clinic's property. Officials with the Sarah Street Wellness Center announced the lawsuit during a Tuesday morning news conference. The center offers healthcare, event space and a basketball gym that is available to the community.
