1 dead from gunshot wound in East Moline
A man found by police early Sunday with a gunshot wound and later died of his injuries at the hospital. The East Moline Police Department responded to a 911 call around 6:32 a.m. in the 200 block of 16th Avenue. Officers discovered a man inside with a gunshot wound and administered life-saving measures until the fire department and EMS took over. The man was transported to Genesis Medical Center, Ilini Campus by ambulance, but was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Vehicle collides with building in Rock Island
There is major damage to a building and stop sign in Rock Island after a vehicle crashed into them. Rock Island Police shared with Our Quad Cities News that an accident involving a vehicle and a residence occurred at 1:27a.m. on the 4400 block of 14th avenue. There were no witnesses to the accident; however, police believe it was the driver of a tan, 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, who lost control and struck the residence.
