Port Charlotte, FL - A Port Charlotte woman has been arrested on drug trafficking charges after being caught with a significant amount of fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Authorities say 28-year-old Kristina Seybold was taken into custody on Tuesday following a surveillance operation by the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).

CCSO deputies reportedly found a substantial amount of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and other controlled substances on Seybold, along with drug paraphernalia and a large sum of cash.

Deputies searched Seybold and found 32.2 grams of fentanyl, 54.7 grams of methamphetamine, Suboxone strips, Hydromorphone Hydrochloride pills, and Clonazepam pills.

The arrest comes after Seybold was previously involved in an undercover drug purchase investigation.

Sheriff Bill Prummell expressed his frustration with the ongoing drug problem in Charlotte County and vowed to continue cracking down on those involved in drug trafficking.

Seybold was taken to the Charlotte County Jail on charges of trafficking fentanyl, trafficking methamphetamine, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
