Wildwood Zoo in Marshfield announces passing of its male bobcat
MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WSAW) - The City of Marshfield Parks & Recreation Department has announced the passing of Bets, the male bobcat at Wildwood Zoo. Bets was 17 years old and considered to be a geriatric cat. After he was observed behaving atypically, a veterinary exam revealed that Bets had an extremely enlarged liver, which was determined to be filled with likely cancerous tumors. The size of the tumor was causing problems for other organs to function normally.

A trailer was stolen from the Pittsville area between July 4th and July 8th. June was one of the wettest in state history
Last month was one of the wettest on record for June in a dramatic reversal from the drought conditions that covered Wisconsin at the same time last year. The month marked the sixth-wettest June in state history based on records dating back to 1895. That’s according to Steve Vavrus, director of the Wisconsin State Climatology Office.
