38-year-old inmate dies Monday in Adams County Jail
FRIENDSHIP − A 38-year-old man being housed in the Adams County Jail is dead after being found unconscious in his jail cell Monday. At 6:01 p.m. Monday, jail deputies found the man unresponsive in his cell, according to the Adams County Sheriff's Office. Deputies immediately began lifesaving efforts, and Lifestar Ambulance arrived at the jail four minutes later and took over from the deputies. Additional patrol deputies also responded to help.

Wausau-area woman convicted of stealing tens of thousands from local business
A 25-year-old woman convicted last month of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from a Wausau-area business will be sentenced in September, court records show. Lillianna Neumann, formerly of Hatley, on June 25 pleaded no contest to charges of theft in a business setting between $10,000 and $100,000. She was convicted of that charge, while one count of forgery was dismissed and read into the record for sentencing consideration.
