TPWD completes groundbreaking bass tracking study
Biologists from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department have completed an innovative study that tracked the movement and behaviors of largemouth bass at Toledo Bend Reservoir and Lake Fork. The goal of the multi-year initiative, which launched in 2020, was to learn more about fish behavior and help anglers be more effective when they target largemouth bass.

Port Lavaca calls on artists for crosswalk art
Local artists looking for a chance to show off their talent might have an opportunity to do so, while helping beautify their community, thanks to a new project in Port Lavaca. Organized by city staff and approved by city council members, artists are being sought to paint a mural at a crosswalk at the entrance to Bayfront Peninsula Park. According to an official statement by Interim City Manager Jody Weaver, the city is inviting artists to apply for the project with the intention of making the crosswalk a photo-op.
