KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI -- The village of Schoolcraft will not hold its annual Fourth of July parade and fireworks this year due to construction on U.S. 131. Superintendent rated ‘highly effective’ after bringing changes to Kalamazoo schools
KALAMAZOO, MI -- Kalamazoo Public Schools Superintendent Darrin Slade was rated “highly effective” by the school board in his first evaluation, this week. The board announced the evaluation after a closed session on Wednesday, June 26. The board voted unanimously for the rating and there were no adjustments made to Slade’s contract at the meeting. Slade is on a three-year contract with the district with a $230,000 annual salary.
