SAFER Water: State talks progress of Porterville wells
On Monday morning, representatives from the California State Water Resources Control Board visited Porterville to give a five-year update on the Safe and Affordable Funding for Equity and Resilience (SAFER) drinking water program and the impact it’s had on the residents of Porterville. Over the past five years, the board has given out more than $1 billion in grants for water infrastructure for disadvantaged communities.
