PORTERVILLE, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Two new sculptures are on display in Porterville as part of a revitalization and beautification project, the city announced on Monday.

The two art sculptures are on the Santa Fe Byway trail as part of its revitalization and beautification project, city officials said. The project is funded in part by the Clean California Grant.

City officials say that both pieces were designed by Adrian Litman Art and Design to pay tribute to the long history of the Yokuts people in the Porterville area.

The Dance of Ancestral Feathers sculpture is located along the trail just south of the Olive Avenue crossing where a historical information sign will be installed. The Eagle Flying Over a Tule Hut sculpture is located along the trail on the corner of Morton Avenue and Henrahan Street.
