    Stewardship Event in Spring Garden Park

    9-11 a.m., July 16, 3332 S.W. Spring Garden St.: Get outside, enjoy nature, and help care for a local park. Volunteers will be working in the garden beds and along the soft surface pathways, sometimes on uneven ground. Tools, gloves, and project instructions will be provided. Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult for the duration of the event. More details at mnapdx.org.

    First Friday in Multnomah Village

    Friday, July 5, all day and evening: First Fridays in Multnomah Village are held to celebrate and support the diversity of businesses and services located in the Multnomah Village Business District. Participating businesses offer savings, events, and promotions at participating businesses g the day. Many stores and galleries stay open later than usual. Each month is unique. Hosted by the Multnomah Village Business District Association at multnomahvillage.org.

    Neighborhood Garage Sale Day

    7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 21, various locations: Multnomah Neighborhood residents are invited to plan their garage sales for the same day this summer. Sales are individually hosted.     Multnomah Days 2024

    9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, Multnomah Village: One of the oldest Portland street fairs will be presented again by the Multnomah Village Business Association. This annual event incorporates a one-day, open-air, family-friendly street festival with 120+ vendor booths, a community parade, live music, street entertainers, art, food and beverage carts, plus outdoor street dining.     5K in Gabriel Park

    8:30-10:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, , 7740 S.W. 45th Ave.: This is the Southwest Portland edition of Portland Parks & Recreation’s annual 5K Fun Run Series, which are family-friendly 5K races that take place monthly from May through September at parks throughout Portland.     Sunday Parkways in Multnomah Village

    11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, Multnomah Village area: Portland Sunday Parkways presented by Kaiser Permanente returns to the Southwest Portland route on World Car-Free Day. Start anywhere on two routes and bike, walk, or push a stroller to explore stops that feature unique entertainment, community booths, vendors, and more.
