Rose City Rollers and their four-time world champion all-star team Wheels of Justice will be hosting the Global Roller Derby Championships at Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Nov. 1-3.

There'll be roller derby teams from around the world competing — the United States, Canada, France, Sweden, Australia. The Global Championships "is the Super Bowl of roller derby," publicity states. Wheels of Justice had previously won the International World Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) Championship in 2015-16 and 2018-19, the championship tournament before the newly named Global Roller Derby Championships.

It's the first Global Champs since 2019, when Montreal hosted the WFTDA tournament.

The competing teams battled through intense regional qualifiers.

"We're thrilled to bring roller derby's biggest event back to our Portland community and fans flying in from across the globe," says Kim "Rocket Mean" Stegeman, Rose City Rollers founder and executive director. "Our team is pouring everything into making this the most unforgettable Global Champs yet. We're ready to show the world what makes this sport and our city so special."

In addition to the 16-game weekend of high-level skating on the track, fans can look forward to Vendor Village packed with fun booths, great concessions and bars, team merch, raffles, and halftime entertainment. Many ticket options are available, including single headliner game passes, day passes, and weekend passes, as well as VIP seating. Tickets are available now via Ticketmaster .
