    Woman, 20, charged with drunken driving 125 mph on I-95

    NORTH HAMPTON — A 20-year-old woman from Farmington is facing drunken driving and reckless operation charges after she was clocked going 125 mph on Interstate 95, according to New Hampshire State Police.

    Police said they observed a 2017 Ford Fusion traveling along Interstate 95 South in Greenland at an apparent high rate of speed at 11:47 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25.

    Trooper Lauren Hervieux initially recorded the Ford traveling at 113 mph as it headed southbound into North Hampton. She observed the vehicle’s speed increasing as the driver made multiple lane changes. Following the Ford, Hervieux confirmed its speed at 125 mph, according to state police.

    Police stopped the vehicle, and the 20-year-old from Farmington, New Hampshire, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of liquor, driving under the influence of liquor, and reckless operation.

    The woman was issued personal recognizance bail pending an appearance in the Hampton District Court on Sept. 12, 2024.
