PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (WPRI) — Two men have been arrested for allegedly traveling to Portsmouth to engage in sexual activity with minors.

Arruda, 61, of Fall River, Massachusetts, and Berry, 41, of Delray Beach, Florida, are both charged with patronizing a minor for commercial sexual activity and indecent solicitation of a minor.

The investigation targeted people who used online platforms to meet minors for sexual activity, according to police.

Arruda and Berry are due in court on July 25 for arraignment.

A third suspect, 31-year-old Damon A. Teixeira of Fall River, was also arrested and charged with procurement of sexual conduct for a fee. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 1.
