Alexandria’s Summer Sidewalk Sale and Restaurant Week return next month
Alexandria’s Summer Sidewalk Sale is returning to Old Town and Del Ray next month, followed shortly by Alexandria Restaurant Week. The annual Alexandria Summer Sidewalk Sale is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 10, according to Visit Alexandria. The streets around Old Town and Del Ray will likely be lined with local boutiques setting up shop outside of their storefronts and offering discounted summer merchandise. A list of participating shops is available online.

See Scale Models of 18th Century Ships Found at Robinson Landing, July 26
ALEXANDRIA, VA-On Friday, July 26, the city is hosting a free pop-up archaeology exhibit related to the ships excavated at Robinson Landing in 2018. This free event, from 4:30 to 7 pm, is a rare opportunity for visitors to see scale models of the three vessels, which date to the 18th century.
