Woman standing at bottom of I-75 exit ramp seriously injured in hit-and-run crash
DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) -- A woman was seriously injured Monday in a hit-and-run crash at an off ramp from I-75. The Dayton Police Department says officers were called about 5:40 p.m. Aug. 19 to the Edwin C. Moses Blvd. off-ramp from I-75 South, where they reportedly found an injured 46-year-old woman.

BOWLING GREEN — It’s been a a year of pancakes, sausage, and strawberry shortcake for Jason Miller. As Ohio Kiwanis district governor for the last year, with his term expiring Oct. 1, Mr. Miller has made 90 official visits to clubs around the state. Kiwanis are member-driven, community-focused service clubs. “I’ve put over 18,000 miles on the car since Oct. 1, which is certainly a lot more than the average governor does, but it was important to me to get out and meet as many people as a I could,” said Mr. Miller, who is 45. “I’ve attended anything you can imagine, from bike rodeos, to strawberry socials, to pancake days, to cake walks.” His most memorable trip was two hours south, where he was asked to throw out the first pitch for a Dayton Dragons game. He ended up passing the opportunity to a local child, Logan.
Man sentenced for attack on officer
XENIA — The man who attempted to harm a police officer and later escape from jail will spend more than a decade in prison. Tyler Senter was sentenced to an indefinite prison term of 11-16.5 years by Greene County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael A. Buckwalter on Aug. 14. Senter previously pleaded guilty to several offenses, including escape, robbery, and felonious assault on a Fairborn police officer.

Springboro police release video of man accused of injuring 2 officers during traffic stop
SPRINGBORO, Ohio (WXIX) - Dashcam video released by the Springboro Police Department on Monday showed nearly a dozen officers trying to apprehend a man during a traffic stop. Noah Jirk was arrested after police accused him of refusing to leave his vehicle during a traffic stop. Officers say they ran his information during the stop and found he had a warrant. Two officers were injured in the skirmish.

Woman maced and stabbed while walking Chessie Circle Trail in broad daylight
TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - An attack in broad daylight sent one woman walking the Chessie Circle Trail to the hospital. The attack happened on Aug. 17, at about 1:25 p.m. Toledo Police say the woman was walking toward Tremainsville when a man approached her and asked to use her phone. She replied, “OK.” Then, the man said, “Let’s go over there” and made a sexual comment to the woman. She said, “No.”
