Wisconsin’s Massive Music Festival That You Never Heard Of
There's a huge under-the-radar musical festival in Wisconsin that can rival any other concert event in the United States. I'm a big music fan and really enjoy going to concerts, especially outdoor festivals in the summer. I still like to discover new bands. In my opinion, the live experience is always best. Stories you might have missed form across Wisconsin. Madison: Whooping cough outbreak hits Wisconsin. There’s another respiratory illness popping up this year and medical professionals are calling it “the tip of the iceberg”. This week public health Madison and Dane County reported an outbreak of pertussis or as it’s more commonly known, whooping cough. At this point the outbreak has affected 43 people over the last eight weeks. The majority of the illnesses happened in teens. Dr, James Conway, a Wisconsin physician who specializes in infectious disease in children told the Wisconsin Examiner “It’s becoming more and more apparent that there’s the beginnings of an outbreak happening.”Wisconsin has logged 226 cases of pertussis this year, up from 51 cases in 2023.Symptoms of the easily spread upper respiratory illness include runny nose, maybe a scratchy throat but after about a week patients develop a persistent cough that lasts for weeks with its signature “whoop” sound. Senior living community coming to Kaukauna in 2026
KAUKAUNA – The Reserve on Arbor Way today officially announced plans to build a new senior living community in Kaukauna to meet growing needs in the Fox Valley. The Reserve on Arbor Way will be located at 1400 Arbor Way in Commerce Crossing, adjacent to the Aurora Medical Center off Highway 41 and is expecting their grand opening for resident move-ins mid 2026, according to a news release.
‘Bursting with pride’: Bar & grill in Neenah celebrates hometown Olympian with decorated storefront
NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) – A bar & grill in Neenah is honoring a hometown Olympian by decorating its storefront in red, white, and blue. The windows of Greene’s Pour House in the 100 block of West Wisconsin Avenue are adorned with paint in support of Neenah native Maddie Wanamaker. Wanamaker will be competing in rowing events during the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
