Muncy Shade Tree Commission plants Elm tree
The Muncy Shade Tree Commission recently planted a Princeton American Elm Tree at Waldon Park’s playground area. The tree was selected because it is a very fast growing tree. Linda Stein, a member of Muncy Borough Council, wanted a tree that would shade the tot lot at Waldron Park. Linda was instrumental in the tree design of the newly landscaped Waldron Park. This was the first large tree that the newly formed Muncy Shade Tree Commission has planted this year. Thanks go to the Muncy streets supervisor, Chris Stoodley, and Muncy borough employee Tom Stinerock. Also assisting with excavating were two WBRA employees. PHOTO PROVIDED.
