Poll: Pick the top Kitsap Sun female athlete of the decade, 1990-1999

Every year, the Kitsap Sun selects the top female and male high school athletes of the year, honors that went to North Kitsap's Mason Chmielewski and South Kitsap's Grace Degarimore in June.

Now, here's the chance for readers to tell us how those athletes stack up against each other, with decade-by-decade polls for sports fans all summer long. We've made our way back through 2000 and now we're onto the '90s.

This week, readers can vote for your pick of the top female athlete among the women given our award from the years 1990-99. Winners from that decade are Bainbridge's Britt Themann and Anne Morgan, Central Kitsap's Chelsie Pentz, Rachel Davenport, Kari Meigs and Yashiva Edwards, North Mason's Leah Francis, North Kitsap's Kristen Kane, and South Kitsap's Keri McCallum, Danielle Fessler and Cassie Jackson.

This week's poll will run through Thursday evening. Previous poll-winners have been Kingston's Ruby Roberts (2010-19), North Kitsap's Jake Velarde (2010-19), Bainbridge's Brooke Nall (2000-09) and Bremerton's Nathan Adrian (2000-09).
