Wakefield, VA – Virginia is experiencing a significant heat wave, with the National Weather Service issuing Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings for most of the state, excluding coastal Worcester County, MD, until 8 PM today. Temperatures are expected to peak, with highs reaching the upper 90s to around 100 degrees, and heat index values between 105 and 115 degrees.
