    What are they building there? Here's the scoop on new retail projects across Prattville

    PRATTVILLE − There's a mini-retail boom happening in Prattville. It's easy to see because of all the construction at prominent spots across the city, but you may not know the details of each.

    Here are just a few of those current construction projects in visible area of Prattville based on documents on file with the city.

    What are they building there?

    • 2010 Cobbs Ford Road, between Dunkin' Donuts and Russell Do It Center, a Z-Tec gas station , convenience store. This project has sparked talk around town because the site was a deep ravine. Crews have brought in dirt to make the parcel buildable.

    • 691 McQueen Smith Road South, next to Gipson Tire, a Shell gas station , convenience store.
    • 1248 McQueen Smith Road South, near Centerpoint Fellowship Church and just down the road from the Shell station, a gas station and convenience store . Documents on file with the city's planning department do not list contact information.
    • 619 East Main Street, where the Flacco Tire building was razed, an urgent care medical clinic . Documents on file with the city's planning department do not list contact information.
    • 400 South Memorial Drive, where the closed Church's Chicken building was razed, a Scooter's Coffee Shop .
