New public charter school in Avimor opens its doors
The calendar didn’t read Dec. 24 or Dec. 31, but the hallways and classrooms of Idaho Novus Classical Academy had an aura not unlike a holiday eve on Tuesday. That’s because years of planning and work came to fruition Wednesday as about 378 students walked through the school’s doors for its first year of bringing education to students at the kindergarten through sixth-grade levels.

JC signs $300,000 contract with CFD for ambulance services
Following a discussion with Central Fire District and Idaho Falls Ambulance at their previous Jefferson County Board of Commissioners meeting, the board chose to approve an ambulance service contract with Central Fire on Aug. 19, for $300,000. A contract with Idaho Falls Ambulance will be reviewed and considered at a later time.
