Phillips High School Students of the Quarter

Phillips High School announced the two Students of the Second Quarter as seniors Hayden Sokolowski and Iliana Winter.

Hayden Sokolowski is the son of Jim and Michelle Sokolowski. He is involved with FBLA, Mock Trial, Esports, Northwoods Players, Cross Country, and Track and Field. His favorite school memory is “playing in the WCBA All-State Band in January, the best concert of my life.”

Sokolowski would like to pursue some sort of occupation within computer programming in the future.

Iliana Winter is the daughter of Jill Kytonen. She is involved with several sports to include volleyball, both in school and at the club level with the Medford Storm, along with softball, and is the girls varsity basketball team manager. She is also on the student council and is the senior class vice president, is an FBLA member and a radio reporter.

Winter said her favorite part of high school is “Homecoming because of all the school spirit and fun activities; it’s the first thing to look forward to when you start school. There are so many fun activities like dressing up, the pep assembly, the parade, the Friday night Football game, the bonfire, and, of course, the dance on Saturday.

Winter plans to attend UW River Falls next year to major in communications and journalism.
