Weather Update: Northeast Iowa and Southwestern Wisconsin Brace for Storms
La Crosse, WI – A second round of thunderstorms bringing heavy rainfall will move through the La Crosse region later this afternoon into the overnight hours. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3+ inches are possible, primarily across portions of northeast Iowa and southwestern Wisconsin. Residents are urged to be alert for additional river rises and flooding in susceptible low-lying areas.

Woman arrested for public intox at park
PAULLINA—A 31-year-old Waterloo woman was arrested about 9:35 p.m. Thursday, June 27, in Paullina on a charge of public intoxication. The arrest of Amber Nichole Barber stemmed from the Paullina Ambulance being paged to Mill Creek Park for a woman who was described as intoxicated, passing out and hyperventilating, with a possible broken wrist, according to the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office.
