    Grief Support Group

    A six-week grief support group will meet from 1:00-2:30 pm on June 12 at the Mille Lacs County Historical Depot. This group allows people who have experienced the death of a loved one to come together in a supportive environment and learn ways to cope with their loss.     Caregiver Support Group

    Are you a caregiver? A new Caregiver Support Group will be starting in May. Please join us to share, connect, learn about available resources, and find support on your caregiving journey. This free group will be held from 1:00- 2:30 p.m. the second Monday of each month at Elim Oasis/Freshwaters Church 112 N. 7th Ave. Princeton. For more information call Julie Schoen at 763-389-5645.     Driver Discount Program

    This class will save you up to 10 percent on your auto insurance. Completion of an eight-hour course qualifies you for the discount. To maintain the discount, you must complete a four-hour refresher every three years. A Minnesota Highway Safety & Research Center certified instructor will update you on defensive-driving tips, changes in laws, vehicle technology, and traffic safety. The Minnesota Highway Safety Center will be offering courses on the following days: A four-hour refresher course from noon - 4 p.m. on July 16 at the Princeton VFW Post at 133 N.     Gathering & Games

    A gathering of adults ages 50+ to play games, go for a walk and connect. Brought to you by Age-Friendly Princeton: Creating a Community Center Without Walls. Wednesdays in June, July, and August from 1-3 p.m. at the following locations: Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 8938 33rd St on the first and third Wednesdays and Senior Dining, 604 S 3rd St. on the second and fourth Wednesdays.

    Milaca Library Summer Book Sale

    The Milaca Friends of Library Summer Book Sale is scheduled for June 18, 20, and 21. It is a fundraiser to support library programs with books for sale for free will offerings. The sale will take place at the Milaca Community Library 235 1st St. E., Milaca on the following days: Tuesday, June 18 from 10am - 7pm; Library Closed June 19; Thursday, June 20 from 10am - 5pm; Friday, June 21 from 10am - 2pm. There will be great selection of adult fiction and non-fiction books, children books, CD audiobooks, music CD’s and DVD’s.

    State Park Presentation

    Join Park Naturalist, Sean, at the Milaca Library for a MN State Park Presentation on Thursday, June 13 from 3:30 - 4:20 p.m. Get insider tips on the best ways to explore tiny Franz Jevne State Park and sprawling St. Croix State Park. See pictures and hear stories. We’ll even play state park trivia for a chance to win prizes! No registration necessary. The event is made possible by partnerships with the MN DNR and the Friends of the Milaca Community Library.

    Connection Brunch

    Join the Princeton-Milaca Women’s Connection for a brunch on Tuesday, June 11 from 10 - 11:45 a.m. at the Milaca Methodist Fellowship Hall. The all-inclusive brunch is $8 and features music by Ann Johnson, a special feature by Shawna Schmidt from Albino Bee Love on “Growing On,” and speaker Laurie Kimball on “Moving On.” For reservations or cancellations, contact Melissa Johnson at 320-469-0722.
