A Princeton man was injured in a motorcycle crash on Sunday, June 23.

The single-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 23 in Pine County.

At approximately 9:45 a.m., Jason Anderson, 34, of Princeton, was traveling eastbound on Highway 23 near milepost 272 in Creek Township on a 2000 Yamaha XVS65 Cruiser motorcycle, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The motorcycle braked for a flock of turkeys in the road, causing the vehicle to lose control and go into the ditch, the State Patrol reported.

Anderson sustained non-life-threatening injures in the crash and was transported to a hospital for treatment, the State Patrol reported. No other vehicles or passengers were involved in the crash, and Anderson was wearing a helmet at the time.

According to the State Patrol, road conditions were dry and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The Pine County Sheriff’s Office and Essentia Ambulance assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
