PRINCETON, WV (WVNS) – Mercer County is getting a new, low-cost Spay and Neuter Clinic.

‘Garfield,’ ‘Furiosa’ repeat atop box office charts as slow summer grinds on

Furever Fixed Clinic will give Mercer County Animal Shelter more room to house more animals.

However, the building they are working toward opening soon will not be their permanent home.

Furever Fixed is opening a temporary building for spay and neuters because of the current demand for more space, as the Mercer County Animal Shelter is at full capacity.

Furever Fixed Clinic President, Barry White told 59News, “There is such a run on kittens and puppies at this time of year,” said White. “Everybody is full, the rescue is not taking any more. We have to get it before any euthanizing is started.”

The new clinic is set to open at some point in July or early August.

They hope to start building a bigger building after the temporary clinic is opened.

The temporary and permanent buildings will be located on Shelter Road in Princeton.
