A Portland man was arrested Wednesday, facing a homicide charge for a fatal collision with a motorcyclist in Redmond more than a year ago. Peter Michael Lamb, 48, was arrested near his home. ASHLAND, Ore.- Sheriff’s Offices across Oregon and Oregon State Police are participating in Operation Dry Water this week. According to the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA), Operation Dry Water is a year-round boating under the influence awareness and enforcement campaign that began back in 2009. Boating Under the Influence (BUI) includes prescription drugs, alcohol, inhalants, marijuana or any substance that impairs a person’s ability to operate a boat safely. Consequences include possible jail time and a fine over $6,000.

Terrebonne Man Cited After Debris Burn Spreads
On July 4, 2024, at approximately 2:05 pm the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a reported fire in the 5000 block of 10th St. in Terrebonne. Upon arrival deputies observed a large tree and grass on fire near the residence. Deputies contacted and advised nearby neighbors of possible evacuations due to the fire.
