COPIAGUE, NEW YORK - A driver escaped injury after crashing into four parked cars and flipping over in their sedan early Wednesday morning.

Around 2:00 AM, residents living near St. Ann's Avenue and Parkside Court were woken up by a loud crash. When neighbors stepped outside to investigate, they discovered an overturned car lying on its side, only a few feet away from striking a fence and landing on a home's front lawn.

When police officers from the Suffolk County Police Department's First Precinct and firefighters from the Copiague Fire Department arrived at the scene, they were tasked with figuring out just how the early morning crash happened.

It was determined that the driver of a Honda sedan was traveling on St. Ann's Avenue when they collided with a parked Honda Accord. The initial impact caused the sedan to become airborne and roll over, hitting two other parked vehicles and lightly scratching a third before finally coming to a stop on its driver's side.

The driver was not injured. There were no other reported injuries.

Copiague Firefighters uprighted the sedan and spread oil absorbent after the rolled-over vehicle began leaking fluids.
