The Superior Hiking Trail Association is seeking volunteers
The Superior Hiking Trail Association is seeking extra volunteers during the month of July to help cut back grass and brush, which is thicker than usual due to higher-than-normal rainfall. Keeping grass and brush cut back from the trail provides greater accessibility and a better user experience, but also creates a more sustainable trail needing less maintenance in the future.

Bent Paddle Brewing Hosts Boundary Waters Fundraiser
DULUTH, Minn.– Folks paddled on down for this Boundary Waters fundraiser Friday Afternoon. There was a good turnout for the 2nd annual Paddlin’ For The Boundary Waters fundraiser in Duluth. Bent Paddle Brewing welcomed local food vendors, and businesses. During the party, Dave Simonett’s band ‘Dead Man Winter’ put on a concert for guests. There was also a chance to win prizes connected to the boundary waters, and even a Sanborn canoe. The fundraiser supported the Sportsmen for the Boundary Waters. An organization dedicated to preserving the BWCA.

Just last year MNDOT started the initiative to put up fencing along the interstate to prevent people from seeking shelter underneath.
New Food Truck Brings Korean Dishes To Duluth
DULUTH, Minn. — A new food truck is bringing Korean culture to Duluth. Sunhee’s Little Table is what it’s called. The owner moved to the states from South Korea just 10 years ago. She had a love for cooking traditional Korean dishes and realized there wasn’t many places like that here in the Northland. Sunhee says her dishes are similar to home-cooked meals that she had with her family. That includes bulgogi, which is a thinly sliced marinated beef, along with rice cakes.

My husband and I are embarking on the next phase of the construction on our property. This means spending a lot of money on supplies and also spending a lot of money on gas to go back and forth to Duluth. That’s a 2-hour ride in the truck and, sometimes, it’s for something small that has halted the big project. It’s frustrating to take a huge chunk out of the day to retrieve the supplies you need to keep moving forward.
