Educators Encouraged to Register for Workplace Wednesday Tours
It's not too late to sign up for Workplace Wednesday offered by the Regional Office of Education #47. Sessions will be held July 10, 17 and 24 from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Workplace Wednesday gives teachers the opportunity to visit businesses in different Career Pathways throughout the three counties area. By visiting places of employment, it helps educators develop real world lessons for their classrooms and prepare students for their future in the workforce. Businesses also help educators identify students who would fit into their jobs.
City of Morrison Electric Aggregation Program
The City of Morrison is pleased to inform its community, that as the result of its public formal bidding process through Rock River Energy Services Co., the City has selected MC Squared Energy Services, LLC (mc²) to serve eligible residents and small business customers with electric supply services for a 24-month term beginning with the September 2024 ComEd meter read cycle. Participating residents and small businesses will receive a fixed electricity supply price of 7.65 cents/kWh.

New program in Illinois compares farming practices and outcomes
(The Center Square) – A farming program in Illinois aims to improve farm incomes and environmental outcomes. Precision Conservation Management recently released a summary of nine years worth of in-field data from Illinois farms. Farmers enrolled in PCM receive annual data analysis for their farm in addition to access to conservation experts and guidance on cost-share programs available to farmers. ISP Improves Crash Investigation & Safety Techniques
To help with traffic crash investigations, as well as identify best practices to keep officers safe, the Illinois State Police (ISP) participated in the Illinois Association of Technical Accident Investigators crash testing event on June 26-28, 2024. The event took place at the Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL. ISP officers from the Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit, Crime Scene Services, Division of Patrol, and representatives from the ISP Forensic Laboratory joined law enforcement officers and crash scene investigators from other agencies for the three-day event. Attendees witnessed live crash testing and participated in forensic mapping and digital evidence recovery.
