New Illinois law expands types of shotgun shells hunters can use on turkeys

Council Discusses Storm Damage and Clean-Up in Tampico
An early morning severe storm brought down trees, branches, and power poles and caused widespread damage and power outages to Tampico on Tuesday, June 25. ComEd reported 613 customers affected by the power outage, including the Village Hall, lift stations and water tower, which had to be powered by a generator during the outage. Most businesses stayed closed until power came back in the mid-afternoon, though the Post Office continued operations with limited services. The Tampico Fire Department offered refrigeration for anyone needing it for medical supplies. Neighbors helped each other and used chainsaws to clean up branches in their yards and neighborhoods.

Undocumented Illinois residents can now get standard driver's licenses
Under provisions of a new law, undocumented residents in Illinois are now eligible to receive four-year driver’s licenses. According to HB 3882, which went into effect July 1, those residents can now receive standard licenses and identification cards instead of the previously issued Temporary Visitor’s Driver’s License.
