Man found fatally shot on Albany Park sidewalk
CHICAGO — A man found unresponsive on a sidewalk in Albany Park early Tuesday was shot to death, officials say. Officers responding to calls of a person down found the 59-year-old Evanston man lying near a strip mall in the 3300 block of West Lawrence around 2:37 a.m. Chicago Fire Department personnel attempted to save the man, but he succumbed to his injuries at Swedish Hospital a short time later.
Berwyn Man Charged with First-Degree Murder of 3-Year-Old in Chicago Shooting
Following a nearly two-year investigation, Chicago Police have charged Govanni Hernandez, a 32-year-old man from the 6300 block of W. 26th St., Berwyn, Illinois, with the murder of a 3-year-old boy. According to a press release from the Chicago Police Department, Hernandez faces a series of felony charges including first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.

Man Tampers With Ignition Interlock Device, Gets Arrested
A deputy from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to Highway 81 in Elk Grove Township for a two-vehicle accident Wednesday around 7:20am. 34 year old Dylan Russell of Darlington was traveling westbound on Highway 81 when his vehicle entered a work area and struck a parked 2004 Dodge. No injuries were reported, and the vehicles were driven from the scene. Russell was arrested for Operating after Revocation and Tampering with Ignition Interlock Device. 3 Firefighters and 1 Civilian Injured in Elmwood Park Fire
A late morning fire injured three firefighters and a civilian in Elmwood Park on June 12, 2024. The Elmwood Park Fire Department was dispatched to the Town House Inn for a reported fire. Crews reported heavy smoke showing and transmitted a second alarm. Heavy fire was blowing out a window in the rear of the building and police reported someone trapped on the second floor in the rear. A third alarm was requested for cover and, as crews stretched lines into the building, found and removed the trapped occupant out of a window. One firefighter suffered a laceration and was transported to the hospital. The victim suffered smoke inhalation and was also transported to the hospital. The main body of fire was quickly knocked down and the fire was brought under control in just over an hour. Two other firefighters suffered from smoke inhalation but were treated on the scene.
