Jersey City promoted autism acceptance once again with Whole Spectrum Autism’s 9th Annual Gala on Thursday, June 27th. The event, which took place at the waterfront Liberty House, was organized by Whole Spectrum’s founder, Sherry Singh. She previously led Jersey City’s raising of the Autism Acceptance Flag and the similar “Lighting the Night Blue” event last April.
Millburn Police Arrest Shoplifters at Mall at Short Hills & Locate a Car Stolen from Mall Parking Deck
SHORT HILLS, NJ — The second half of June saw numerous shoplifting attempts at the Mall at Short Hills and a car was stolen on the Neiman Marcus parking deck. A man from the Bronx concealed $620 worth of merchandise from Neiman Marcus in the Short Hills on June 19 and left the store. Police arrested him and charged him with multiple counts of shoplifting. A few days later, police arrested someone who had stolen $2,965 of merchandise from Neiman Marcus. On June 29, another person stole $147 of merchandise, and the police also arrested that shoplifter.CLICK HERE...

NYC relaunches $4M program as part of Vision Zero
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The New York City Department of Transportation relaunched its $4 million campaign to prevent dangerous driving behaviors. “Speeding Ruins Lives, Slow Down” is a multilingual movement through Vision Zero, a city initiative to make streets safer, announced by city DOT Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez. To commemorate the re-launch, Rodriguez joined the New York Yankees to throw the first pitch at their Tuesday game against the Cincinnati Reds.
Citi Bike e-bike rides set to get more expensive in second price hike so far this year
Another price hike is coming for New York City residents who use Citi Bike e-bikes.The price increase will go into effect beginning July 10.It's the second price hike already in 2024.E-bike fees for those with an annual Citi Bike or Lyft Pink All Access membership will increase to $0.24 per minute from the current $0.20.Non-members will see fees raised to $0.36 per minute from $0.30.Lyft, which runs the bikeshare program, cites battery swapping, insurance costs and vehicle expenses costing more than the company anticipated when the rates were set in December.Citi Bike acknowledged the price changes only affect rides in New York City.E-bike prices for rides in New Jersey are not changing at this time.ALSO READ: Trouble ahead, trouble behind for frustrated NJ Transit commutersN.J.
