22-year-old man shot and killed outside deli in Flatbush, Brooklyn apparently following dispute

New Yorkers can now get into the 9/11 Museum for free on select days
The 9/11 Memorial & Museum is now opening its doors for free to New Yorkers during select hours. The newly launched program, called New York First Mondays, will provide free admission exclusively to New Yorkers on the first Monday of each month beginning at 5:30pm. The museum closes at 7pm, so you’ll have an hour and a half to explore when taking advantage of the ticket offer.

About a month ago, Governor Kathy Hochul shocked New Yorkers when announcing that the much talked about congestion pricing scheme was going to be put on hold indefinitely. Although the situation has not changed since then, the New York Times reports that state lawmakers are working on a potential new plan featuring less expensive tolls.

Speed limits on a dozen Queens streets to drop below 25 mph
Drivers on certain streets in Queens are going to need to slow down in the near future as the city begins to implement a state law designed to increase safety on city streets. The city’s Department of Transportation recently rolled out its proposals for implementing Sammy’s Law, which was passed by the state legislature earlier this year and allows New York City and other state municipalities to set their own speed limits, rather than go by statewide regulations.
Walgreens Closing Select New York Stores
The big-name pharmacy has released a list of stores that are expected to close as the company finalizes a plan to fix its struggling business. Earlier this month we told you that Walgreens CEO Tim Wentworth announced that the company would be closing hundreds of its more than 8,600 drugstores over the next three years. Wentworth explained that "changes are imminent" for about 25% of the company’s underperforming stores, which could affect roughly 2,100 stores across the country.
