New water record set by Huntsville Utilities: 79.33 million gallons pumped
Huntsville Utilities has set a new benchmark in water distribution, breaking a long-standing record for the most water pumped in a single day. The previous record, set on Aug. 24, 2007, stood at 75.6 million gallons. However, this June, Huntsville Utilities not only surpassed this record but also continued to break it on multiple days.

Sadie Thompson Led NCAA Division II in Sacrifice Hits in 2024
HUNTSVILLE | UAH softball junior Sadie Thompson ended the 2024 campaign as the NCAA Division II leader in sacrifice hits per game. Thompson generated a total of 20 sacrifice bunts in her junior season, which was good for a nation-leading average of .34 per game. Her 20 sacrifice hits additionally tied the program record that is also held by Anna Parker in the 2006 campaign.
