ABSS to freeze teacher supplements in order to save $$ in face of $2.4M deficit

Felony strangulation and kidnapping charges against local man
On Friday, July 19th, 2024 the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged 35 year Yanceyville Township resident Justin Newton Evans with the commission of the following Felonious criminal offenses; (1) count of First Degree Kidnapping and (2) counts of Assault by Strangulation. In addition, he was charged with (2) counts of Misdemeanor Assault on a Female, (2) counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon, (3) counts of Communicating Threats, (1) count of Larceny and (1) count of Interfere with Emergency Communications.
Durham man faces narcotics charges
On Sunday, July 21st, 2024 the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged 53 year old Durham, N.C. Township resident Kent Christopher James with the commission of the following Felonious narcotics offenses; (1) count of Possession of Mariuana, (1) count of Possession with Intent to Manufacture Sell Deliver Marijuana and (1) count of Maintaining Vehicle Dwelling Place of Controlled Substance.
