Festival set to bring 1,000s of floating lanterns to Colorado riverwalk

A lantern festival is set to bring thousands of floating lights to Pueblo, Colorado later this month.

"Join us at the Pueblo Water Lantern Festival for a magical night of floating lanterns, music, and good vibes by the water," reads the event description, with the event to take place in the Riverwalk area of the city at 125 East Riverwalk Pueblo. During the event, the water will be lit up with "thousands of beautiful lanterns" launched by attendees.

The Pueblo Water Lantern Festival will take place on July 27 starting at 6:30 p.m., with ticket prices ranging from $15 to $25. Each ticket includes a floating lantern to launch on the water, a commemorative drawstring bag, a marker to decorate a lantern, and a wristband for entry into the event.

Lanterns are said to be eco-friendly and will be cleaned up by staff after the event.
