We have some exciting events coming up this month with the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce.
The fun continues with our Third Thursday Poker Walk, monthly Cash Mob, and we will have a Political Hob Nob this month. These events are open to the public.
POKER WALK
If you haven’t heard of our Poker Walks yet, come out on July 18 from 4-7 p.m. The participating businesses this month are UnWined, Pomegranate & Fig, Illusions Salon & Spa, Hypnotique, Leroy’s, Punta Gorda Chocolate & Wine, and J Meraki Beauty Emporium. Becky’s Garden Shoppe will be the wild card location.
The final destination will be at the Winesett House where you turn in your scorecard for a chance to win the poker game. Be sure to turn them in by 7:30 p.m. Winners will be announced at 7:45 p.m. The winner will receive a gift card from the participating businesses. There will also be a second and third prize.
The featured charity for July is Peace River Wildlife Center. There will be an opportunity to see an ambassador animal at two stops, Punta Gorda Chocolate & Wine and Illusions Salon & Spa.
This event has been a lot of fun, so don’t miss it.
JOIN THE CASH MOB
The Cash Mob will be July 23, with a “cash drop” at noon at Fresco Gelato & Coffee, 321 Taylor St, Punta Gorda.
This event is also open to the public. Stop by to see what this is all about: You stop in to Fresco, make a purchase, and make a social media post with #pgchambermob. Encourage your co-workers, family, and friends to stop by and support a local business. They will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
POLITICAL HOB NOB
Our Political Hob Nob will be at the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center on July 17 from 4-7 p.m.
This is your opportunity to meet and greet the political candidates. Qualified candidates can still sign up to rent a booth by calling the chamber office.
Please note, the Punta Gorda Chamber does not endorse any political candidates.

Networking Luncheon, July 24 at Laishley Crab House, 150 Laishley Court, Punta Gorda. Our speaker will be Police Chief Pam Smith. Starts at noon.
