“SOMETHING ROTTEN” MUSICAL COMING TO PUPOSKY
(Puposky, MN) — The Wild Rose Women’s Theater Collective in Puposky will be performing the PG-13 musical “Something Rotten” starting this Thursday. The musical follows the siblings Nick and Nigelina as they set out to write the world’s first musical in the 1590’s. Tickets are being sold at McKenzie Place in Bemidji from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at $20.00 for adults and $15.00 for youths aged 13 – 18. All tickets must be bought in advance since no tickets will be sold at the door. The performances will be on July 25th, 26th, 27th, and 29th at 7:30 p.m. and on July 28th at 3:00 p.m. The theater is located at 24011 Hwy. 89 NW, Puposky, MN 56667.

$2.4M IN GRANTS AND LOANS DISTRIBUTED BY THE NORTHWEST MINNESOTA FOUNDATION
(Bemidji, MN) — The Northwest Minnesota Foundation has distributed $2.4 million in grants and loans across the region from April through June. The funding is comprised of PROMISE Act grants, Mission-Driven Discretionary grants, grants within the Northwest Minnesota Foundation’s family of funds, and business loans. The Northwest Minnesota Foundation press release reports $1.1 million in grants of the $2.4 million total were issued to support small businesses and non-profits who have experienced hardships since the COVID-19 pandemic through the PROMISE Act grant program which was approved and funded by the Minnesota Legislature. Nearly another $1 million in grants were provided by the Mission-Driven Discretionary and family of funds grants which supported programs and organizations from multiple different sectors.

Red Lodge, MT (KROC-AM News)- A search and rescue crew in Montana has recovered the body of a missing Minnesota hiker. The young Minnesotan was missing since July 12.
