Travis Kelce Is Gearing Up for Another Major Cameo—and I'm Not Talking About the Eras Tour This Time

Adam Sandler is about to make Travis Kelce ’s dream a reality.

Back in May, Kelce, 34, casually mentioned he’d “do anything” to score a part in the highly anticipated Happy Gilmore sequel. Well, guess what? Sandler just confirmed he’s got a role lined up for the Kansas City Chiefs star.

During his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, August 20, Sandler, 57, spilled the beans.

“Travis has … he mentioned it, so we have a nice something for Travis,” Sandler teased, adding that he’s totally smitten with the NFL pro. “He’s a very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life. What a big, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell. He’s a stud and he’s so funny.”

Kelce first expressed his love for all things Sandler on the May 29 episode of his podcast, New Heights , which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce . On the show, the three-time Super Bowl champ made it clear he’s ready to dive into the movie world. He even joked that he’s a “huge fan of the Sandman” and would jump at the chance to be in a Sandler flick.

“I’ll be a f–king extra… anything to get around Happy Gilmore , an Adam Sandler film or set — count me in,” he said. “I’ll do anything in the movie. I’ll be part of it any way I possibly can.”

And it looks like Hollywood’s taking note of Kelce’s on-screen potential. He’s already landed a leading role in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming horror series Grotesquerie , alongside big names like Niecy Nash-Betts , Courtney B. Vance, and Leslie Manville.

But that’s not all! Kelce is also the host of Prime Video’s game show, Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? , a fun twist on the 2007 hit Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?

Plus, according to The Hollywood Reporter , there’s buzz that Kelce will star in Loose Cannons , an action comedy in the works at Lionsgate. The project is shaping up to be epic, with John Wick director Chad Stahelski producing, and Tim Dowling, one of the masterminds behind Sandler’s Just Go With It , penning the script.

Looks like Kelce’s Hollywood takeover is just getting started.
