Music concert organizers work to keep fans cool at Poplar Bluff music festival
POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KBSI) – Butler County Sheriff Mark Dobbs says they are taking several protocols for the heat they are facing all weekend long. “So, we have about 50 officers,” said Sheriff Dobbs. “We’ve had to bring officers in from other departments from four other departments as well as all the people we had available to pull it off and of course there is fire and EMS and it’s kind of all hands on deck for them as well.”

Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce President Steve Halter told Heartland News that ‘Rock the Country’ was by far the largest single venue event they’ve ever had in the history of Poplar Bluff.
