    Back to School: Five area districts return to the classroom Monday

    ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Back to school season is in full swing and several districts in the area return to the classroom on Monday.

    MORE: List of start dates across North and South Carolina

    Rowan-Salisbury and Stanly County Schools start on Monday after postponing the initial start date from last week due to Tropical Storm Debby.

    Lancaster County Schools has school orientation for 6th and 9th graders and Indian Trail 5th and 7th graders

    And just north of the Queen City, Iredell-Statesville Schools and Kannapolis Schools will also have the first day of school on Monday.

    Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools starts August 26.
