    2 seriously injured in east Charlotte crash

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Multiple lanes on I-85 northbound near University City Blvd were closed due to a crash for hours.

    DriveNC showed that three out of four lanes are closed since around 3 p.m.

    Medic confirms that two people were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

    The road reopened shortly before 6 p.m.

    No word yet on what caused the crash.
