    Recovery of drugs, stolen vehicles in Charlotte leads to 5 arrests: CMPD

    CHARLOTTE ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Five people were arrested after an investigation led to the recovery of drugs, firearms, and multiple stolen vehicles, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

    On Tuesday, Sept. 3, officers found a reported stolen vehicle and followed it to a private residence. Once a warrant was obtained, detectives found various amounts of marijuana, fentanyl, cocaine, two firearms, five stolen vehicles, and a stolen lawnmower.

    Police say five people were arrested as part of the investigation and their charges include:

    • Assault on a female
    • Possession of a firearm by a felon
    • Possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number
    • Possession of stolen motor vehicle
    • Trafficking cocaine
    • Trafficking opium
