    Several roads in York County closed as Tropical Storm Debby lashes the area

    YORK COUNTY, S.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Several roads across York County are closed Thursday as Tropical Storm Debby lashes the area.

    According to the York County Sheriff’s Office, Falls Road at Ogden Road is closed in Rock Hill, The road is flooding and the water continues to rise.

    The Rock Hill Police Department reports the Dave Lyle Blvd Eastbound ramp onto Anderson Road (US21) is closed due to flooding.

    In Rock Hill, the 3700 block of Mobley Store and Lark Lane is shut down. Fast-moving water over the road was sent in from York County Sheriff Lt. Lovelace.

    “Do not try to drive through fast-moving flooded roads, please,” the York County Sheriff said.

    Heckle Blvd near Hollis Lakes in Rock Hill is partially blocked Thursday due to a downed tree, according to the Rock Hill Police Department.

    “With the rain still falling, use caution and reduce speeds on all roadways for safety,” the Rock Hill Police Department said.

    The area at Rambo Road at Mobley Store Road is also flooded Thursday morning, according to the sheriff’s office.

    A woman tried to drive her car through the flooded Strait road, against law enforcement’s orders, and the truck got stuck.

    • Wilson Chapel Road
    • Glasscock Road (bridge) near Old Friendship
    • Stalcup Road
    • Gunsmoke Road
    • South Fork Road
    • Ashe Road
