The Foo Fighters were forced to abruptly end their performance at Queens' Citi Field due to "dangerous weather" conditions .

Frontman Dave Grohl and the band were gutted to cut their 20-song setlist down to just 13 songs because of a severe thunderstorm and heavy rain. Grohl warned fans the show in Queens, New York, may be cut short if the storm got worse before performing 'Learn To Fly'. They then performed 'Everlong' as thunder cracked overhead before the show was officially cut off.

The band expressed their regret on social media, in a statement that reads: "We are so disappointed that we were unable to play our full set for tonight's fantastic crowd at Citi Field. But the safety of our fans, the crew and everyone working in the stadium comes first, so when it was determined that there was no safe way to continue the show in this dangerous weather, we had no choice but to call it a night."

The rock legends also shared their gratitude and anticipation for their next meeting with fans: "We're grateful for every second we were able to play for you and looking forward to seeing you again maybe as soon as Friday!".

The 'Everlong' hitmakers have another gig lined up at the same venue this coming Friday.

In other news, Black Sabbath's Geezer Butler made an unexpected appearance at the Foo Fighters' last UK concert of their 'Everything Or Nothing At All Tour'. The iconic 'Monkey Wrench' band rocked out at Villa Park in Aston, Birmingham, which is the stomping ground of the Premier League's Aston Villa team Geezer ardently supports wrapping up their UK tour last month. The legendary Black Sabbath bassist, aged 75, graced the stage with the group for a memorable jam session.

Dave Grohl hyped up the audience by hinting at a special guest "who grew up three streets away from here" revealing that the guest had "never played" at the football ground of his favorite team, Aston Villa. He then exclaimed: "Geezer Butler from Black Sabbath is going to come out! ".

The Foos and Geezer then rocked the crowd with a rendition of Black Sabbath's classic 'Paranoid', with Dave Grohl taking on Ozzy Osbourne's iconic vocals. Geezer kept a low profile, letting his bass guitar speak for itself.

Earlier, Dave Grohl had the audience chuckling when he joked about Birmingham's charm following a rainbow's appearance over Villa Park, saying: "What is this, Hawaii? Birmingham is the most beautiful city in this entire country! ".

He added, feeling the holiday vibes, "I feel like I'm on vacation." Just days before, the Foo Fighters had taken the stage at West Ham United's London Stadium, where Dave, aged 55, concluded their two-night stint by opening up his very own Duke of York pub right inside the dressing rooms.

Music icons including Sir Paul McCartney, aged 82, and U2's lead singer Bono, aged 64, were among the invitees. A source spilled to The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "Dave knows how to party and loves a drink-up. He opened his own pub for his VIPs - and they stayed up until 6am going at it."

After the final show, they reportedly "drank the bar dry after their last show and it was light by the time everyone started getting cars home".
