Keys Suffer Series Opening Loss to Spikes on the Road
State College, PA- The Frederick Keys dropped the first of four games to the State College Spikes Tuesday night, losing by a score of 14-7 at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. The Keys took an early 5-2 lead after the first inning and a half of play, but a 10-run bottom of the fourth for the Spikes proved to be the difference as State College earned the series opening win at home over the Keys.

Vehicle runs through yard, hits car
Cumberland Township Police, along with fire and emergency medical services (EMS) personnel were dispatched to the area of 1075 Biglerville Road, about 8:01 a.m. Tuesday for a vehicle crash with entrapment, according to a release issued by Cumberland Police Pfc. Ryan Eiker. Upon investigation, it was “found that a Chevrolet Cruze operated by Patrick Riley, 62, of Gettysburg,” was southbound on Biglerville Road, when it ran off the right side of the road into yards, then re-entered the roadway driving into a driveway 1069 Biglerville Road, striking a parked car and a garage, according to the release. Riley was treated on scene by EMS, then transported to Gettysburg Hospital for treatment, according to police. CTPD was assisted by Gettysburg Fire Department and Adams Regional EMS, according to Eiker. The vehicle was towed by Excalibur Towing, police said. Developers break ground on affordable housing project on East Patrick Street
A developer has broken ground on a new affordable-housing development on East Patrick Street. The development, called Overlook East, will include 85 units across three buildings and have capacity for more than 300 people. Scheduled to open in late 2025, it is meant to serve people and families making up to 60% of the area median income.
