Tifton city manager placed on administrative leave
TIFTON, Ga. – According to our partners with the Tifton Grapevine, the Tifton City Council has placed city manager Emily Beeman on indefinite administrative leave with pay. Vice Mayor Josh Reynolds, who led Monday night’s meeting in the mayor’s absence, stated that no further details will be provided until additional information is gathered.

Parent Calls for Teen to Face Police: Auto Theft, Eluding, Reckless Driving and Other Charges
VALDOSTA, LOWNDES COUNTY, Georgia – A 14-year-old male teen was brought to the Valdosta Police Department (VPD) station by his parent on Thursday, July 18th. Earlier that day, the VPD had contacted the vehicle owner regarding the questionable use of their vehicle. The vehicle owner confirmed that no one had permission to drive the car. The VPD officer was able to identify the teen as the driver of the car much earlier that morning and arrested the teen.
