We often hear that thoughts create reality. We also hear that thoughts aren’t real, and therefore we shouldn’t care about them.

Most of us have tried thinking our way to growing rich. Through different escapes such as parties or distractions, we’ve also tried pushing away unwanted thoughts.

And because both statements seem to hold some truth, we’re confused, and no concrete action can be taken when it comes to applying either, in order to gain consistent results.

Yet, the whole fabric of our existence has been put together by the complex processes of our thoughts, emotions and actions. Let’s simply say that most people have a hard time understanding exactly how.

Intent initiates enterprise. Intent sparks creative endeavors. Intent is at its strongest when our mental, emotional and physical bodies are aligned.

The observer, as has been demonstrated in quantum mechanics, affects the surrounding environment through the act of observing. This means that the world around us is not only alive, but cooperative — always mirroring back to us what we’re “looking” for.

Einstein perfectly understood this when he said, “The most important decision we make is whether we believe we live in a friendly or hostile universe.”

Unfortunately, because of all the propaganda and fear based noise around us, we’ve come to paint reality with anxiety. And that observation/outlook is reflected back to us in how we experience our lives.

What makes an experience feel real? What gives credit to what we go through?

When an experience is tangible/physical, when we expect it to unfold in a known context (mental) and when we react/respond emotionally to it — we say the experience is real.

But here’s the thing. Our physical, mental and emotional response to life events are always unique to us. We respond according to our conditioning.

What is real for me may not be real for you, and vice versa. And because our experiences of reality are so personal — we all have a personal reality, a smaller “portion” of the bigger reality that comprises everything — in which we live.

As the saying goes, like attracts like. By living in our personal reality, we communicate in a way that signals where we are, and what our story is about. Others pick up on that. And we come together.

The more of us there is in a particular reality, the “realer” it feels. And the more we seek to confirm our experience of reality is the ultimate one — the more we lose touch with reality itself.

This is what happened with Hitler as an example.

When we lose touch with reality, the “what is,” we misinterpret everything. Emotional and mental distortions happen. Our actions create chaos in the world. And it becomes messy.

Yet our viewpoint feels very real. We’re intently observing, and that observation is reflected back to us.

As an example, our assumptions about our neighbor may be completely wrong, yet we believe in them, and this observation makes us absorb information from around us so that our position is confirmed. Eventually, our actions carry things out, conflicts will result. And an emotional knot will be born.

Whether or not the neighbor was wrong, we made sure she was now.

We’ve created a reality, we’ve reinforced our narrowed perception of the all encompassing reality — and while grouping against a neighbor may save us from loneliness by attracting more “haters” — we’ve isolated ourselves from the life around us.

Thankfully, most of our thoughts are not real. But they greatly affect our perception of the real. And unless we clear ourselves from judgement, negativity, and assumptions — we’ll keep creating our experiences of the real.

Thoughts, emotions and the actions they carry out make up the “real.”

If we keep using them unconsciously, we’ll create a life we won’t want to own, as it happens for most of us.

If we learn to use them consciously, we’ll see exactly why our lives are the way they are, and by clearing things out — we’ll unload ourselves from subconscious stubbornness, and actually invite newer, and purer energies into our lives.

You are more powerful than you realize. Use this power wisely.
