The violent altercation, which occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, left both victims with serious injuries, one of whom is in stable condition but was initially considered to have life-threatening injuries.
Police Respond to Reports of Assault
According to a news release from the Portland Police Department, officers responded to the scene after receiving reports that a man was attacking people with a baseball bat. Upon arrival, they found two individuals who had sustained significant injuries from the assault. Both victims were immediately transported to Maine Medical Center for treatment.
